The design brief for the new airport was conceived to celebrate the rhythms, colours and culture of the Bahamas. The goal of the terminal review study was to assemble and explore greenfield and existing site terminal options to accommodate traffic projections, improve airport operations and consider future expansion. Included in the study was a review of Bahamian sense of place, an existing building condition report and a terminal site study, resulting in a preferred terminal development plan including buildings, ancillary functions and infrastructure.
