Braid Station is prominently located at a crossroads for two major transportation arteries surrounded by large-scale industry – including trucking operations and lumber production – the cornerstone of this historic community for over a century. Featuring a composition of simple, large planes framed by carefully crafted, painted steel connectors, the design refers not only to the super scaled industrial buildings around the station, but also to nearby bridges spanning the Fraser River and to the folded planes of the mountains of the surrounding landscape.
