A strong presence in the streetscape of Kitsilano, the architecture of Bayswater carries on an architectural conversation between past and present through a design that emulates an "historic" warehouse block with a contemporary "addition" of residences.

The material palate of this project was chosen to make a clear connection to historical warehouse typology, while building detailing makes each aspect of the project distinctive. White brick and large-scale windows of the “historic building”are contrasted by the sleeker, dark-paneled “new addition”. Contemporary details have been carefully designed to make this project unique, and include the filigree of structural steel canopies, eyebrows, guards and balcony railings.
