Senior Architect

We are looking for a highly motivated Architect to join our North Vancouver studio in a permanent full-time position.

This individual will be critical thinker who is creative, insightful, and focused on helping our team exceed client expectations.

As a senior Architect you will work under the direction of the principal and lead projects from preliminary development through to occupancy, and act as client and consultant liaison. In this leadership role you will draw on your excellent collaboration skills to work with internal team members and consultants on all aspects of design, detailing and documentation of projects. And, you will be responsible and accountable for work completed under your direction.  

 

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of project development from schematic design through contract documentation and contract administration

  • Collaborate, direct, and prepare presentation materials, design and construction documents and other relevant materials required to fully communicate

  • Identify, analyze and solve technical and code related problems

  • Ensure information flow within the project team

  • Manage communications with project consultants and act as the liaison

  • Coordinate consultant’s work

  • Participate in site meetings and conduct general reviews

 

Position Requirements

  • Must be registered with the AIBC, or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia

  • 10 years relevant experience

  • Ability to work within a team and meet deadlines

  • Proven record of design and technical excellence

  • Ability to lead projects and work well with clients, contractors, consultants

  • Positive attitude, respectful manner, and passion for design

  • Experience in designing for a variety of building types and construction methods

  • BIM documentation experience, with proficiency in REVIT

  • Knowledge of regional building codes and legal standards
