Senior Architectural technician
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Architectural Technician to join our North Vancouver studio in a permanent full-time position.
This individual will be critical thinker who is creative, insightful, and focused on helping our team exceed client expectations.
As a Senior Technician you will work on all of project phases to develop compete and accurate project documents. Working under the Principal, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of all aspects of design, detailing and documentation. This leadership role demands excellent collaboration and project management skills, as you will be responsible and accountable for work completed internally and externally under your direction.
Key responsibilities
Participate in all phases of project development from schematic design through contract documentation and administration.
Collaborate, direct, and prepare presentation materials, design and construction documents and other relevant materials
Identify, analyze and solve technical and code-related problems
Ensure information flow within the team
Manage, communicate and oversee consultant work
Participate in site meetings and conduct reviews
Position Requirements
Must be registered with the AIBC, or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia
10 years relevant experience
Ability to work within a team and meet deadlines
Proven record of design and technical excellence
Ability to lead projects and work well with clients, contractors, consultants
Positive attitude, respectful manner, and passion for design
Experience in design and detailing a variety of building types and construction methods
BIM documentation experience, with proficiency in REVIT
Knowledge of regional building codes and legal standards
